Evolve With Darwin Day
by Jason on Feb.12, 2010, under Blog

If you aren’t moving forward, you are stagnating. As Humanists, and (for that matter) Human Beings; we realize that this world is all and enough. That this world, this day, is all that we have.
Humanist holiday? What could help progress our movement nationally? Answer: STUFF!
A retail incentive. That is just what the good doctor ordered. Christmas and Hanukah, even Hinduism’s Divali has it….
So let’s Celebrate this Darwin Day by giving, not cheap plastic crap but gifts that help people evolve.
A gym membership, a healthy cookbook, and even dental floss. Why give only gifts with glitz that will be forgotten. At the same time, instead of resolutions… why not have a party to announce your self-betterment goals. Goals that can be assisted by your nearest and dearest.
Anyway. Just wanted to say have a happy and festive Darwin Day!
